Noah has been called by the Holy One, called to build an ark to escape the Holy One's judgement on the people of the earth. But Noah is the only person still faithful to the Holy One - who will believe that destruction is coming? They are too busy worshipping their own gods to listen to Noah - the Holy One will stand their faithlessness no longer. The storm is coming...

Part of the Dark Chapters series that retell some of the darker stories in the Bible, The Oncoming Storm tells the story of Noah, and is a retelling of Genesis 6–9, aimed at young people and young adults. This is the third edition of The Oncoming Storm (Previously entitled, Noah and The Day the Sky Opened), and Andrew is delighted to be able to revise and adapt the book in order to bring it to a new and younger audience.

The story follows Noah from his call by God to build an ark, through its completion, the flood and the re-establishment of life after the waters have receded. This fascinating retelling helps the reader see more deeply into this most famous of stories, to see what God is doing and why.
